What we collect, what we don't, and who to contact about it.

What we collect
We run analytics (Google Analytics 4) to see which pages get read and which don’t. Analytics is off by default and only loads if you click “Accept” on the cookie banner. Decline it, or ignore the banner, and nothing loads — no cookie, no ping, no request to Google.
We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other personal data unless you email us directly, in which case we hold that email for as long as it takes to answer it.
Server logs
Cloudflare processes requests on our behalf and may log request metadata (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security purposes. We do not access raw logs outside of incident response.
Cookies
One cookie-adjacent bit of local storage records your accept/decline choice, so we don’t ask twice. If you accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies — see Google’s own privacy policy for what those do. Affiliate links (see below) may set a short-lived tracking cookie on the retailer’s own site once you click through; we never see that cookie.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site — urns, keepsakes, and similar products — are affiliate links, mainly through the Amazon Associates programme. If you buy something after clicking one, we earn a commission. You pay exactly the same price. See our full disclosure for how that works and which pages never carry one.
Third parties
We do not sell or broker visitor data. The only third parties who ever see anything are Google (analytics, only if you accept) and whichever retailer you click through to on an affiliate link (standard for any online purchase).
Your rights
Under GDPR and CCPA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold. Since we hold almost none, there is usually nothing to find. Contact us at contact@oventoheaven.com with any privacy questions, including a request to opt out of analytics retroactively.
Changes
We’ll update this page whenever what we actually collect changes. Material changes are reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
Governing law
These policies are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
